Responsibilities
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of our product, loan models and compliance requirements
  • Work with customers to develop new loan products or amendments to existing loan products that are compliant with state and local statutes
  • Create and maintain a library of existing, compliant loan products by state

Brief Description

The support technician is a staff position within the IT support group accountable for ensuring continuity of computer application services for our users by providing the technical expertise and assistance necessary to operate our software products, modify/repair hardware, and resolve technical problems.

Title System Administrator
Brief Description

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, networks, and related infrastructure. The SA will participate in technical research and development to contribute to innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures are up to date with organizational values and guidelines.

This individual will be accountable for the following systems: Linux and Windows systems that support our production infrastructure and Linux, Windows, and Application systems that support day to day operations.

Responsibilities

SA Engineering and Provisioning

  • Engineering of SA-related solutions for various project/operational needs
  • Install/rebuild servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, etc. in accordance with standards and requirements
  • Install and configure systems to support production infrastructure and/or internal operations
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards and develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures

Operations and Support

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability through review of system and application logs
  • Ensure completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
  • Perform daily backup operations of files systems and system data to the appropriate media, recycling and/or sending off site as necessary
  • Perform regular file archival and purging
  • Create, change, and delete user accounts
  • Provide Tier III/other support, investigating and troubleshooting issues
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures

Maintenance

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis
  • Configure/add administrative tools, utilities, and system services as necessary
  • Upgrade and configure system software that supports production infrastructure or Asset Management applications
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization
  • Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required
  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment
Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills

  • Associates (2-year) degree, with a technical major such as engineering or computer science, OR equivalent preferred
  • Two-to-six years system administration experience preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Effort

  • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice
  • No regular travel required
